Our Story

Tide and Taste was born out of Nick and Kami LaLonde’s love for celebrating everything—especially over a round of oysters and a glass (or bottle) of bubbles. The owners fell in love in a long-distance relationship eating and drinking their way through cities along the west coast, making every date an excuse for a special occasion. Those experiences shaped what Tide and Taste would become: a place with excellent food, incredible cocktails, and a fun, warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Nick is a chef with experience cooking in New York, San Diego, Sacramento, Austin, the Bay Area, and Los Angeles. After moving to the Pacific Northwest to start their family, Nick and Kami made Anacortes home, where Nick went on to found Good Bagels, a beloved Anacortes staple. Kami comes from a background in wedding photography, bringing a deep appreciation for hospitality, detail, and making people feel at ease.

Tide and Taste has become a neighborhood restaurant in Anacortes built around local oysters, craft cocktails, seafood-forward small plates, elevated dishes, and familiar classics. Our food and cocktail menu changes often and with the seasons, celebrating what’s available locally in the Pacific Northwest. Our hope is every time you come in, you try something new and share it with the table.
